USDA Nondiscrimination Statement

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:

Social & Emotional Wellness
Schools are an ideal setting to support the social and emotional well-being of students and offer resources and opportunities to build resilience.
- Utilizing positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS), mindfulness, and restorative practices, which promote effective classroom management, restore & repair relationships, and preventive school discipline by establishing positive behavioral norms and organizational supports;
- Implementing restorative justice practices that help students process, learn, and grow from challenging encounters;
- Training students in mindfulness, and incorporating social and emotional learning into classroom curriculum.
