Focusing the Mind: HIAT Scholars Learn Martial Arts

At HIAT,  Martial Arts is a free program embedded into scholars' daily instructional block schedule. It's taught as a non-physical contact sport that focuses on the scholar's mind.  The goal of the program is to create a culture where scholars becoming critical thinkers in a global society. HIAT's  Martial Arts instructor is a six degree black belt who offers scholars the proper support to learn how to think before they react.
