Getting Thea Bowman Scholars College and Career Ready! Over 70% of TBLA Seniors Complete Scholar Success Program

Thea Bowman Leadership Academy is working to get its scholars college and career ready. The school was recently recognized in the Northwest Indiana Times for assisting over 70% of its graduating seniors with completing the Indiana Scholar Success Program. The program is a part of 21st Century Scholars and not only helps students  plan, prepare and pay for college, but it also prepares them for career success.

“It is extremely important for us to do all that we can to prepare our scholars for life beyond the walls of Thea Bowman Leadership Academy," said a TBLA Principal, Keith Bradford. “We work really hard to create unique experiences and opportunities that help them to excel and thrive. We want them to prepare and learn today, so that they will lead tomorrow.” 

At Thea Bowman, middle and high school scholars are supported with resources and tools to help  prepare them for college and careers. This includes creating a graduation plan, completing career interests assessments, visiting college campuses and submitting college applications.
