Attention all KCE Families: Columbus Public Health informed us of a case of Giardiasis. According to CPH regulations, the scholar will be out of school for ⏰ 72 hours and be on 💊 antibiotics. After notification from CPH, the maintenance team immediately disinfected all areas with special bacterial chemicals and accomplished all the cleaning procedures.

⭐ As of 9/20, there has been no report of any other scholars or teachers experiencing symptoms. KCE is responsible for informing the Columbus Public Health of any individual with symptoms such as diarrhea or vomiting, and the individual must be tested. On 09/19, during dismissal, all scholars left home with a ✉️ letter explaining the exposure, information on Giardiasis (See PDF), and the importance of monitoring any symptoms.
