On a Roll: JRP Awarded $1.8 Million in Grant Funding to Support Student Achievement
James and Rosemary Phalen Leadership Academy (JRP) is on a roll this year! The school and its scholars earned an A-rating from the state of Indiana for their academic performance; they recently were granted permission to expand into a high school; and now JRP is celebrating a nearly $2 million grant award.
The funds, provided by the Indiana Department of Education, will support the school in improving education for its scholars on Indy’s Far Eastside. Specifically, the grant supports more personalized instruction; capacity-building systems that support continuous school improvement; and the PLA Coaching Cycle, which provides real-time feedback and support for PLA teachers in improving the effectiveness and rigor of classroom instruction.
