Phalen Leadership Academies Receives $150,000 from Glick Philanthropies

Phalen Leadership Academies received a $150,000 grant from Glick Philanthropies to support PLA University, a workforce development program that will support adult relatives of PLA scholars in obtaining credentials in high-demand careers and securing careers in those fields. Glick Philanthropies is a family of charitable initiatives, programs, and organizations focused on building community and creating opportunity.

Funding for PLA University will provide support for key components of the program including education, support, guidance, and experience to ensure our adult learners have the tools and resources needed to be successful to attain economic stability.

“PLA University extends our work to improve the lives of children even further by helping to create financial sustainability for entire families.” – Earl Martin Phalen, PLA Founder, and CEO
